We're launching a YouTube contest and you can enter to win a Kindle (wireless e-book reading device) by creating and uploading a video on YouTube. Details to participate follow:

  1. Create a video up to 10 minutes long and upload on YouTube.
  2. Show a copy of Water The Bamboo® in the video and in your own creative way, convey how it's impacted you personally or professionally.
  3. Send a link to along with your contact information. Your video may be submitted to our Water The Bamboo® YouTube Page, available for other users to see.
  4. The Kindle winner will be selected by our Water The Bamboo® subcommittee from the videos submitted. Contest ends June 30, 2010 or when 10 videos have been submitted.
  5. Don't hold back—have fun with this!

How To Upload a YouTube Video

Step 1: Create an account
Create a YouTube account with a user name and password.

Step 2: Check specs
Look at the video file you want to upload. Make sure it’s no more than 10 minutes long and 1 gigabyte in size, and in an acceptable file format. YouTube’s recommended format is MPEG-4. Other acceptable formats include: .AVI .3GP .MOV .MP4 .FLV .SWF .MKVDVD formats such as .VOB, .IFO, and .BUP cannot be uploaded to YouTube.

Step 3: Choose your video
Click the “Upload” button, located on the upper right of most YouTube pages. Browse for the video title you want to upload from your computer. Select the file and hit “Upload Video.”

Step 4: Enter information
Enter information about your video in the Title, Description, Tags, and Category fields. Make sure to tag your video with "Water The Bamboo®", which will make it easier for other users to find your video on YouTube. Under Privacy, choose “Share your video with the world,” meaning anyone can watch it.

Step 5: Wait
Be patient! It can take anywhere from several minutes to an hour for your video to upload, depending on the file size and your bandwidth. Don’t navigate away from the page until you receive a message that the process is complete. Once you do, click on “My Account” and then “My Videos” to find your uploaded video.

Step 6: Choose options
Click “Edit” under your video to decide whether you want to allow comments, comment voting, video responses, ratings, embedding, and syndication.

Step 7: Share your video
Congratulations! Your video is on YouTube. Now you're ready to submit the URL to the contest. Click "Share" under the video, then copy and paste the link along with your contact information into your e-mail to .
